NYC Comics Convention 2007

This was our first year attending the NYC Comics Convention and will not be the last! Unlike the International Toyfair, it is open to the public which makes it even more fun!

There were Artist signings everywhere including Sket One working his tail off to sign custom Qees.

Stan Lee had auditions for upcoming super hero roles, there were live Star Wars special effects shows, every possible comic you can imagine with special signings and exclusive Movie previews! The place was hopping filled with fans from all genres.

We had the opportunity to meet the creator of Drain C.B. Cebulski who gave us all the time needed to learn more about this great comic series! We walked away with a hot off the press, signed, 1st print of Drain 1, with an incredible special edition cover from graphic artist Takeda.

Dark Horse, DC, Art Asylum,Sideshow,Mezco,Grafitti Designs,Sony Playstation and McFarlane were all there in full form.

Nothing could prepare us for this show! lol Whether it was talking to fans and fellow retailers, or catching the private screening of Fantastic Four, we were floored.

The last day was a trip! I would recommend that if you are heading to the Convention, try to make it to the last day. Countdown to the convention closing bell was a massive freebie giveaway! Almost every area had people swarming for free convention exclusives. We had to work for some of them! Prizes going to the correct answers of some pretty tough Comics character and storyline questions. We walked away with bags upon bags of awesome stuff and won a PS2 Ghost Rider video game. WE were like kids in a candy store grinning all the way home! Cya next year NYC Comic Con!
