Brick Wars Part 2 Exhibit: Darth Vader

Now that we have C3PO, Darth Vader, the Emperor and Yoda Kubricks, we can put them side by side with their Starbrick counterparts.

Here is a picture of the Vaders. The set was advertised as Star Wars Return of the Jedi Kubrick set. Today, the Fakes are advertised as "Early Bird" sets to draw in the collectors looking for authentic Medicom Early Bird sets.

If you look at the picture prior to expanding it, you can see where one might think this is a Kubrick. The expanded picture shows the numerous differences in detail and quality. Darth Vader has a few scars painted on his skull and expression lines on his face. The helmet is very well done, and offers the most detailed features of any Starbrick we have seen thus far.

The Darth Starbrick is displayable as long as you are only posing him. None of the Starbricks have the durability to play with. C3PO's arms broke off doing basic movements. Darth, and any Starbrick with an additional layer, fall apart very easily. We recommend setting up one pose, with super glue handy, and leaving the figure alone after that.
